With the negative influences the Internet and television has given the kids today, sex has become less important and trivial. Kids these days seem to think that its normal to have sex casually and with random people, which is such a shame. What was something so important and sacred between two people has now become something thats mocked and taken lightly.
Luckily we have young celebrities taking a stand against that and have started to promote the importance of sex after marriage through the use of promise rings. We have celebrities like the Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Hillary Duff, Miley Cyrus, and Jordin Sparks all joining the bandwagon of promise rings. This is such a refreshing surprise after seeing many young celebrities in the past not giving importance to their bodies and their image. With so many young fans idolizing them and following their every move, young celebrities should always be mindful of what they do and how they are being portrayed to the rest of the world. Its a good thing that more and more young celebrities have given the promise rings some importance.

We just hope that once these celebrities get older and have engagement rings that they still fulfill their promises of staying pure till after the marriage. Lets see what Miley and Jordin have to say about their engagement rings and if theyre still committed to keep their promises.
Hopefully the rest of the world would follow their lead and start wearing promise rings too, or at least be mindful about who theyre having sexual relations with. We hope that they give importance to sex and marriage and not treat it as something so trivial. Being pure should be something to be proud of and not to be hidden or ashamed about, kids these days should know that.
